# How do I create an AI visibility report in chatobserver?

> Build an AI visibility report from a template or blank canvas, connect workspace data, and prepare it for sharing.

Open **Reports** and choose a template or a blank report. Add the charts, tables, and explanation your audience needs, connect the relevant workspace data, and review the report before publishing a shared version.

</Frame>

## Choose a layout

Use the template gallery to preview available starting points. A fixed layout suits a deliberately composed page; a responsive layout adapts to the available width. Reports can use pages or a continuous layout.

Choose a layout based on how the report will be read. A presentation to a client and an online report opened on several devices may need different compositions.

</Frame>

## Connect the data and add context

</Frame>

Set the data source, date range, fields, and filters for each data element. Use text to explain the question the report answers, the monitored coverage, and the findings that matter.

Include enough context for someone outside the dashboard to interpret the numbers. State the brand, dates, platforms, and question groups. Distinguish visibility, sentiment, citations, and traffic rather than presenting them as one interchangeable score.

## Choose charts and tables

Use a scorecard for a headline measure, a table for detail, and a time series or comparison chart for patterns. Open **Add a chart** to choose a report element, then configure its data and properties.

## Review the finished report

Check for disconnected data, unexpected empty elements, clipped labels, and dates that do not match the intended reporting period. Review every page, including pages not shown in the first preview.

Saving a report preserves your working document. [Publishing and sharing](/docs/reports/share-report) creates the version recipients can open. If the report uses connected marketing data, learn how to [build reusable queries](/docs/data/queries) before adding those results.
