Add the primary brand record before connecting alternate names.
Add businesses that compete for the same customer need, market, or category. Enter their recognised names and relevant domains. Use aliases for genuine alternative names, abbreviations, or spellings; avoid generic words that could match unrelated passages.A useful competitor set reflects the decision your customer is making. A large enterprise suite may be relevant to one group of prompts and irrelevant to another. Use prompt groups to compare brands within the appropriate context.
Review the workspace’s brand name and primary domain. If the company trades under several names, make sure the brand identity reflects the names people and AI answers actually use. Keep an individual’s account name separate from the monitored brand.
Open the original answer when a brand appears to be missing or incorrectly matched. Check whether the response uses an alias, cites a domain without naming the company, or mentions a similarly named business.Read visibility and share of voice alongside sentiment. Appearing in an answer is different from being recommended, and a competitor citation is different from a competitor mention.
