
Start with a blank report or a template.
Choose a layout
Use the template gallery to preview available starting points. A fixed layout suits a deliberately composed page; a responsive layout adapts to the available width. Reports can use pages or a continuous layout. Choose a layout based on how the report will be read. A presentation to a client and an online report opened on several devices may need different compositions.
Open page setup to adjust the report canvas.
Connect the data and add context

The report editor in the chatobserver workspace. Select a block to configure its data and style.
Choose charts and tables
Use a scorecard for a headline measure, a table for detail, and a time series or comparison chart for patterns. Open Add a chart to choose a report element, then configure its data and properties.
Use the toolbar to add charts, controls, text, and images.
