Overview Tab

The Overview tab acts as the home base for every workspace. It highlights installation progress, AI referral traction, and your brand’s share of voice.

Analytics setup card

  • Generates a per-workspace JavaScript snippet hosted at https://cdn.chatobserver.com/js/client.min.js.
  • Includes your project ID so events map to the correct workspace.
  • Owners and admins can verify installation. Verification checks for the script on your primary domain and reports back with a success/warning/error state.
  • Manual confirmation is available if your site blocks automated checks.

Visitor analytics strip

  • Displays seven-day visit totals for each tracked AI search platform (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Bing Copilot, Gemini).
  • Tiles update in real time once the snippet begins sending data.
  • Tooltips explain what each metric means and when the platform last sent traffic.
  • A “waiting for data” state appears until a platform generates its first session.

Brand visibility card

  • Visualizes how often your domain and tracked competitors appear across prompt runs.
  • Toggle between metrics such as:
    • Run share – Percent of runs mentioning a domain.
    • Mention volume – Total citations extracted from AI answers.
    • Sentiment velocity – Directional shift in tone.
  • Hover to see exact values and the prompt groups contributing to each trend.
  • The accompanying leaderboard ranks domains by mentions and highlights change over the selected window.
  • “Explore AI referrals” deep-links to the AI Referrals tab using the same filters.

Setup states & banners

  • If no analytics project exists yet, the setup card prompts you to generate one.
  • If credits are depleted, the Credit hold banner surfaces here as well to explain why prompts stopped running.

Tips

  • Install the snippet early—even before adding prompts—so historic referral data is available once prompts go live.
  • Track competitors by adding their domains to Company → Tracked domains. The leaderboard automatically picks up new domains that appear in sources.
