Dashboard Tour

Chatobserver’s dashboard is organized around the journey from prompt creation to actionable insights. Every tab shares context through the sidebar so you can switch from planning to analysis without losing your spot.

Overview

  • Analytics setup – Generates the workspace-specific tracking snippet and verifies deployment. Owners/Admins can re-run verification at any time.
  • Visitor analytics strip – Seven-day session totals by AI platform once the snippet is live. Tiles show zeroes until tracking is installed.
  • Brand visibility – Trendline comparing owned domains to the top cited competitors. Toggle between metrics like run share, sentiment, and mention totals. Links directly to the AI Referrals tab when deeper analysis is available.

Prompts

  • Toolbar – Tabs for active, suggested (coming soon), and inactive prompts. Includes search, bulk upload placeholder, export, and “Add prompt” CTA.
  • Table – Shows label, key metadata, schedule, personas/groups, and next run time. Inline actions change status (active, inactive, archived).
  • Editor – The drawer supports full prompt editing, including analysis policy, scheduling, platform targeting, personas, and groups.
  • Groups dialog – Manage prompt groups without leaving the tab. Colors help visually encode campaigns across the app.

Runs

  • Prompt runs table – Paginates recent executions with status pills for run state, analysis progress, and trigger (schedule vs manual).
  • Details sheet – Inspect the rendered answer, normalized sources, any error message, and the timeline showing when the run started and finished. Use this drawer to confirm that credits were consumed or to diagnose failures.
  • Load more – Fetches additional runs without resetting your current view.

Sources

  • Filters panel – Narrow results by prompt, root domain, lookback window, domain limit, and page size. Filters sync to the URL so views can be shared.
  • Overview cards – Summaries for total mentions, net sentiment shift, and top domains within the selected window.
  • Domain leaderboard – Blends total mentions with a sparkline of daily activity. Search and sort refinements help isolate competitors quickly.
  • Prompt runs table – Maps each mention back to the originating prompt. Use “Inspect prompt” to jump straight into the prompt editor.

AI Referrals

  • Window selector – Switch between 7, 14, 30, 60, and 90-day ranges. Filters can be combined with a specific AI platform.
  • Trend chart – Visualizes session volume by platform. Legend entries toggle individual lines on or off.
  • Top landing pages & referrers – Quickly see which URLs AI chat visitors reach and which answers drive the most downstream traffic.
  • Devices & events – Segment sessions by device class or custom events captured via the analytics snippet.
  • Session explorer – Scrollable log of individual sessions with cursor-based pagination. Load more pulls the next page from the API.

Groups & Personas

  • Groups tab – Create, color-code, archive, and bulk-manage prompt assignments. Ideal for campaign segmentation or owner hand-offs.
  • Personas tab – Model buyer types or stakeholders. Each persona stores a name, occupation, and optional summary that can be referenced across prompts.

Settings

  • People – Invite teammates, adjust roles, and remove members.
  • Plan & usage – Review credit balances, upgrade tiers, and purchase top-ups. Credit holds originate here.
  • API keys – Create or revoke keys for the External API.
  • Company – Manage workspace name, primary domain, and billing profile.

Notifications & help

  • The sidebar includes a contextual help panel with links to relevant docs.
  • Notification badges highlight failed runs, credit holds, and new product updates. Open the panel to mark messages as read.
